March 13, 2009 (Happy Birthday Mini!)

Our meditation session took place at my house last night, since the College is on Spring Break.
I didn't know what to expect, in terms of numbers, but a little bit after 6pm, the doorbell rang, and there were 5 people, looking forward to sitting!
We headed out to the garden first, even tho it was cold.
I wanted to show Midge, who had helped us so many years before with our native plants, just how great they looked.
It was a little bit like individual "garden yoga", since we were all trying to stay warm, stamping our feet, bending over to pat the dog, bending over to look at new shoots, reaching for newly budding branches.
We went in and sat for our usual 20 minutes.
I was using a large Root Chakra singing bowl David had given me, a bowl that rarely leaves the house.
After our sit, I got it singing for awhile, and we just hummed along with the bowl.  Then I passed it around, since it's impossible to resist.  We hummed and just smiled, passing the singing bowl.
It was an awfully nice sit, very, very simple.
I cherished it!
