Thursday Night Meditation--April 30

Tonight's meditation was a loud affair.
the comings & goings of students outside the open windows, a new meditator coming to sit mid way through, (then taking a very big swig from his water bottle), a Red Cross van packing up after a day of collecting blood--all came into the meditation mix.
We sat for 25 minutes, I went a little over the usual 20, then I read a poem by Jack Prelutsky called BLEEZER'S ICE CREAM, since we had plans to meet for ice cream at Leo's after the sit.
One of the regular sitters put a strand of green plastic beads around the Medicine Buddha's neck--later I realized they were Mardi Gras beads!
Headed out for ice cream.
YUM!
